Amadou & Mariam were on the flight (singers of "Welcome to Mali" among many other popular songs) and exiting the plane, I passed Toumani Diabate!
I said "Hello Toumani!" and he said, "Hi...welcome back!"
I'm off to a good start!

I'm staying with a very sweet Dogon lady and her niece. It's all village feel, right in the city.
My wonderful teacher Drissa Kone started my drum lessons out with my favorite rhythm Sunu :)
